Evelyn Grace Academy seeks to break the mould of secondary education in a number of significant ways. Our success will be measured by our students’ achievements from day one onwards. The new ways in which are developing the staffing, infrastructure and organisation of the academy are a means to an end.

We are setting out to demonstrate that the highest expectations can be set and the highest standards achieved by all young people who join the academy as part of a locally based non-selective intake. Our staff believe in every child’s ability to learn. They will do what it takes to support every student in achieving a minimum level 6 by the end of year 9 and grade C by the end of Year 11. Our mission, aims and core values are based upon the ARK Academies’ vision and guiding principles.

An outstanding school must capture the essence of what it is about in its mission, aims and values. We need to do key things differently to secure radical improvements in achievement for all students and especially those with low prior attainment.
